Clignancourt Antique Dealers, Paris, France

This puppy was in an antique dealer in the Clignancourt complex in Paris. This is a neighborhood with literally hundreds of small antique and brocante dealers. Nearby are ethnic markets with African and Middle-eastern dealers.

Most of the stores are only open on the weekends. During the week, the store owners go back to their home towns looking for things to restock at their Paris stores.

The Clignancourt complex is also famous for a lot of used book dealers. The man in the photograph below is typical of the Parisiens who visit the stores on a rainy Saturday. Life is good, no?

This doll was actually in a flea market in Le Puy, France.
