Top Twelve Gallery

As an intellectual project, I am trying to keep an updated gallery of what I consider to be my twelve best photographs on this website.* I want to keep this as a constantly updated display to keep challenging myself to produce better. I see this as the logical counterpoint to the Picture-A-Week (PAW) project that I am also engaged in.

Through my photographs, I am trying to capture the inner-life of my subjects. As an anthropologist, my goal is to underscore the common humanity of all people and to make the unfamiliar familiar and the familiar unfamiliar.

Are these my best photographs or best ethnophotographs? At this point, they are both. I haven't been able to quite differentiate these two aspects of my work yet. And I'm not if I would want to...
