Rural Barn, Red Wing, MN

Minnesota is full of these abandoned barns. While I was antiquing in Red Wing, I came across this one by the side of the road. I immediately regretted that I didn't have my wonderful new Zeiss Distagon 50mm f/4 for my Hasselblad. Nonetheless, my Leitz Summicron DR 50mm f/2 handled itself with aplomb, I think.

Early November and the corn had been harvested. The field next to the barn looked like a bomb hit it. This year was a bad crop because of the drought. All the corn stalks were flattened and dead. The next day, we had our first major snow fall. Winter is coming.
